Billing/Revenue Cycle Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Billing/Revenue Cycle Manager.

The Billing/Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the billing office and working closely with practice department managers to establish revenue cycle processes that will ensure optimal reimbursement for services rendered to patients by our providers. The Billing/Revenue Cycle Manager works closely with Front End managers to ensure data integrity for demographic, insurance and financial patient information.


  • Expertise in Revenue Cycle Management
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a medical practice billing office. Dermatology experience a plus.
  • Minimum of five years supervisory/management experience
  • First-hand experience dealing with third party payer credentialing and patient billing issues in either a hospital or physician office setting.
  • Experience with and understanding of all aspects of computerized billing systems and interfacing with a clearinghouse. eClinical Works or Nextech experience preferred.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Dermatology coder is desirable

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Expertise in medical office billing and compliance
  • Effective personnel management skills.
  • Ability to analyze, recommend and implement improvements in all revenue cycle processes
  • Expert knowledge and training in CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize and assign billing workload to billing staff
  • Knowledgeable about all resources available for eligibility/referral/claim information (e.g., accessing third party payer internet sites).
  • Ability to coach and train providers in E&M and derm specific coding
  • Ability to perform internal coding audits and report results to providers and practice owners.
  • Word processing and Spreadsheet skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Keen investigative skills
  • Able to oversee Revenue Cycle project as assigned.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Keen ability to identify payor trends and issues proactively and recommend solutions as needed
  • Able to continue education in order to stay current of payor reimbursement trends

Medical Practice Call Center Representative

South Shore Skin Center, Plymouth location, is recruiting for a full time, experienced Medical Practice Call Center Representative who can manage a high volume of telephone calls and computer scheduling for multiple providers. This is a fast-paced production oriented position requiring exceptional customer service skills, accuracy and the ability to work steadily and efficiently to accomplish tasks. This position also requires excellent typing skills and the ability to learn eClinical Works software and other various software applications used for insurance verification. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced medical office call center.

Hours – Monday through Friday, 40 hours.

Medical Assistant

South Shore Skin Center is recruiting for a full time Medical Assistant.  Mohs micrographic surgery and or dermatology experience preferred.  Job duties require the applicant to be able to stand for long periods of time, be comfortable in a surgical setting, understand and comply to HIPAA and OSHA regulations, and assist physicians and managerial staff as requested with job related activities.

Professional Compliance Coder

South Shore Skin Center is Seeking a full-time Professional Compliance Coder. This person will be responsible for reviewing provider documentation compared to coding and billing to identify opportunities for improvement. Knowledge of professional coding rules, Medicare professional billing guidance and ability to effectively interact with and teach providers about proper documentation, coding and billing practices is essential.

Qualifications – Associate’s degree in a health science profession or related education preferred. 3-5 years’ experience preferred. Dermatology experience required. Minimum of three years’ experience in Evaluation and Management coding required. CCS, CCS-P or CPC required.

Part-Time Receptionist

South Shore Skin Center is recruiting for part-time experienced medical office receptionists who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced medical office. Responsibilities include patient service, telephones, scheduling, referrals and other reception tasks. Must have medical practice software experience, eCW preferred. Must be highly organized with exceptional customer service skills. Flexibility with schedule, hours and location required.
