Mark was born and raised in northeastern Oklahoma in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains on 60 acres of forests, creeks, and valleys where he spent many years riding horses. In 2001, he and his husband moved from Oklahoma to Somerville/Cambridge where they continue to reside. Prior to becoming a NP Mark was a middle school and high school teacher in Cambridge and Dorchester as well as being a writer, manager, and leader in educational publishing. For fun, Mark enjoys activities like swimming, hiking, horseback riding and biking; he also loves traveling and is an avid reader particularly of ancient history, astronomy, and astrophysics.
